Thank you [mention]Daggerfall[/mention] for the trip! The track was nice and soft.

It was a lovely drive, very technical. I was in [mention]Solmaz[/mention] convoy along with [mention]Booy[/mention] sweeping. Wast smooth, with no issues up to me and my tyres being the center of the attention as always. I sense I am a very unlucky guy when it comes to the rubber on my wheels, the coopers gave me grief and now the BFGs as well.

Since I was shifted back to the back of the convoy, last drive I was vehicle number 4 I realised the difference. Its so much easier to maintain the distance in the back, at least in my opinion, Ive had plenty of experience in being last or second last car! In addition, I need to work on my crest crossing, as I have felt a couple of times the vehicle was a bit too fast and had a rougher than usual landing.

Also, I wanted to give a big shoutout to everyone who helped me with the tyre repair. [mention]Issa[/mention] [mention]Rooies[/mention] [mention]Phoenix[/mention] [mention]presa[/mention] and everbody else involved, really appreciate it guys! Special Thanks goes to [mention]presa[/mention] for escorting me out!

All in all, Its was a nice drive with no major problems, so kudos to [mention]Solmaz[/mention] for the leadership! As always, looking forward to the next drive!

Hello All,

Quite a big number of almosters turned up this Friday and it was really nice to meet many new and old faces.

As mentioned in the earlier reports, there were two convoys made; I was in the convoy led by [mention]Solmaz[/mention] and was the 2nd lead. We had [mention]Booy[/mention] floating around the convoy and making himself available at both the ends of the convoy (Booy’s magic thumbsup) and had [mention]Ghanem[/mention] sweeping the convoy responsibly. Rest of the Inters are within the convoy at an interval of 3-4 cars.

I have been in the second lead position with Solmaz before as well and know that she likes to throw a mix of challenges to the convoy every now and then and keeps it interesting arr.. This time as well she chose a path which was a mix of track runs and technical dunes. We had some sharp turns with short but steep climbs, straight cresting with steep decline on hard ground was part of the package too yum. There were second tries, pop-out and a burst tire in between which added to the fun whu.

It was a good run with a lot of learning and I hope everybody enjoyed the terrain.

Thanks to Booy for the guidance and supervision and all the Inters for support and rescue.

It felt really great to get back on the sand as I had not driven off road for a very long time.

The track was perfect to get back and practice the basics thanks for the opportunity and scenic sunset.

Reached the meeting point on time, started deflating and chit chatting with other ALMOSTers then it was briefing time. While listening to [mention]Daggerfall[/mention] I felt my ears stand straight once I heard the words "It will be easy and relaxing drive" and oh boy it was not at all blank
One second we were driving on flat or a little up hill area and KAABBOOOMMM we are crossing on dune side with a bowl down the dune .... I was thinking "oh man I should move with high momentum or else ....."

Over all the drive was FANTASTIC and fun. Now I know what "easy and relaxing" means in the desert grin grin
