I've read tip and tricks on the forum however I have a few questions I would like to ask about this trip.

1. what are the facilities available on the camp site ? ( most important toilets ? )
2. is everyone bringing their own BBQ i know that makes sense but would it not be more fun or gathering to contribute and have it in one place off course everyone will participate in making and eating it just like a family :)
3. where can I get camping equipment ( tent, sleeping bags etc )

Sorry about the question since I am new not only to the forum but also to UAE ( it has only been 6 months in UAE)

Our camp in desert is always some place between the dunes, as we declare the location to be our camp. It's not a real camp with groceries, restaurants and other facilities. We are off-roaders.
Regarding BBQ, always some drivers bring their stuff and typically share with others. What you need to bring? It depends on you, but normally there is no wood in a desert or anything you can buy, except the sand.

Hi, i am quite aware of the 'technology' of 'behind the dune' toilets and am game to using them! However on a serious note I would like to know how do we handle this morning toilet issue during our camps, especially if there are ladies camping. Its important to know since I intend to bring my family etc for camping. Do we drive to the nearest gas station in the morning for freshening up?
