Newbie 10+ drive in Sweihan, from East (farms/Nahil area) to the normal meeting/exit point in the E16.

Drive well supported by intermediates that allowed to position 1 intermediate between every 2 newbies, something that always provides better flow to the convoy.

Shamsi leading with support from Rashid, Scorpio and Optimus.

As soon as you reach near Nagra you can see tracks everywhere, it is becoming harder and harder to find clean areas to drive in, at least lets hope for some wind to restore slightly the mess that is everywhere.

Regarding the drive, no major issues, just a couple of recommendations if I may:

- If you are losing power when doing the arch aim for lower height, don’t try to push it and end up stuck in a wall, we all have different cars, enter arches at different speeds, … if you see it is not going to work aim for the exit of the arch with a lower trajectory, this will avoid you getting stuck and improve the flow of the convoy.

- Distance. If a open area, with intermediates all over the convoy we should not be missing the track, keep the right distance with the car in front of you, not only it will avoid you losing the track if not also it will give you a good point of reference on what is coming ahead of you.

Thanks to everyone involved in the drive, specially to the organizing Founder and Marshalls attending for support.

See you on the sand soon.

Another amazing fast trip for Newbie 10+ started from the farms area before Nahil & ended at Sweihan, organized by @alshamsi_m & supported by our marshals @Optimus & @Rashidjass @Scorpio
We did almost all the practice which we learned before, side crests & arches & high arches & switches & double switches and crossed some technical areas.
The convoy was moving smoothly & fast.
Frankly i didn’t recognize what we did until i saw @Moustafa19 amazing video, it was a chock.
Thanks for all the group marshals were they lead us to this level.
Thanks for all the rescue team @David, @petr, @Galindakis, @Mghoneim, @Moustafa19, @Piotr, @Stephan

See you soon,,,,

Greetings, off-roaders!

Newbie +10 drive in Sweihan was a thrilling mix of technical challenges and unique terrain. The area was as demanding as it was exciting, with plenty of soft sand, tight spots, and an abundance of bushes to navigate.

We also had the chance to play around some beautiful arches, adding a fun and dynamic element to the drive. The technical nature of the terrain tested our skills and kept everyone engaged throughout.

A big thanks @alshamsi_m for making it an enjoyable and smooth experience. Thanks to all the marshals and intermediates for the support. Until the next adventure, keep those engines roaring!

Best regards,

Hello Everyone

Upon planning the drive it was not expected to have members during this part of the year. To my surprise, we had as much intermediates as our newbies asking to join. It's was a challenge by itself to give a fast drive with a big convoy but we made it thumbsup

The track was three parts , Fast , High dunes and technical so we were able to do all type the combinations for this level cool

We had @Rashidjass , @Scorpio & @optimus in support so I had full confidence to whatever I like because I have strong support marshals in this drive grin

Well before I close my trip I would to mention that winter is still long and the Jimny my show up to play with you guys :yarr:

Till next time keep the sand flying!!

Cheers
Shamsi

Drive was a mix of fast safari, bigger dunes and technical. We got to practice all that we had been learning from previous drives and ft very comfortable. Second try on one particular climb showed the importance again to me about tyre pressures. As we know your pressure increases whilst you drive, quick adjustment from the 11 psi my pressure increased to back down to 9 psi and the car made the climb.

Convoy flowed well despite its size some interesting lines chosen by our lead Shamsi finding fresh sand in amongst the hundreds of tracks.Advanced and intermediates gave good support although they didn't have many customers for recovery

Back to desert after more than 50 days, testing my new car (Xterra) to get familiar with its power and techniques. Al Shamsi surprised us by coming in his FJ rather than the Jimny. We experienced all skills we learned in the past drives (arches, safari style, technical areas, crests & high dunes).
It was fast drive at most with bumpy dunes at some areas, my side airbags suddenly pumped out during the drive spite of the car was incline but in very safe and normal position, i came to know from @Rashidjass it is possible with American specs cars and the normal kill switch will not deactivate the side airbags.
Thanks to our Marshalls @alshamsi_m @Rashidjass @optimus @Scorpio and all intermediates and advance for the nice drive and great support.

I noticed I missed posting this report - hereby correcting it with apologies :)

The 10+ track carved by @alshamsi_m really lived up to its Harry Potter refence. We had good pace, high climbs and descents, lots of carving on the sides of the dunes - great fun, definitely felt like flying :) And all the action as seen from the sweeper position, my passengers enjoyed it a lot as well!:)

Not many observations other than the raised before, the convoy performed well, with no need for recoveries (other than self- or second tries). Keeping the distance to the car in front is crucial, particularly in areas covered in tracks and/or in case of windy weather - else it is very easy to enter a wrong path and potentially end up in trouble.

We drove for 2:45h (2:15 moving) and covered 51km.

Thank you @alshamsi_m for organizing yet another fantastic drive!

See you in the sand!

Piotr
