Hello Everyone
The excitement started from yesterday after reading the comments on the chatbox about the weather.
I came to meeting to find all the dedicated newbies ready for the drive. We had full two hours from sun rise until 9 am .
The pack was good and we no major issues at all so I decided to give them bonus tour and then a test of what is going to come the next weekend.
Thanks for @presa for saving the day and to @brett and @Mustafa who came to support.
Thill next time, sleep tight and come in the morning to keep the sand flying
Cheers
Shamsi

First Sunrise Drive
It was an amazing experience with VIP convoy, as we reached to meeting point before sunrise and watched a magnificent day breaking slowly through darkness.
Ride started with extensive briefing by amazing Marshals @presa @alshamsi_m then we lined up in a specific arrangement according to vehicles type to guarantee smooth and efficient floating over red sand.
As the drive planned we headed to the “Pink Rock” through carefully selected track, and under strict compliance with Marshall instructions we climbed up to the top of the rock and experienced the view.
Passing by “crocodile rock” and “Big Red” was remarkable and inspiring for newbie’s story after the ride, and still more to be told for being “captured with the beauty” by our Founder.
It was great fun to receive such an intense feeling of excitement through continuous fun for 2 hours in top of dunes.
We ended up safely at meeting point, loaded with adrenaline and big smile on our faces at 9:00 AM.
Thanks to Marshals for this Ride and looking forward for more.
special thanks to @brett and @Mostafa for guidance and support

It was a pleasure meeting each one of you. Very refreshing drive. Well done newbies - Good drive - not much of hick ups. I felt the rush and rememberance of my newbie days 180 years ago :) and felt like a newbie again. Thank you Shamsi for receiving me with the same Grace as always. You are the best! See you all next week. Until then, have a great and successful week everyone.

Dear Almosters
Wow that was an early start ! if it had been an alarm to wake at 4am for a work day I know I would have been hitting snooze over and over again. But no it was drive day and I was out of bed straight away.
The mornings are still chilly, left home around 4:45am and reached the meeting point way ahead of schedule at around 5:40am. I was starting to wonder if I had misread the info, meeting point, meeting time etc so I checked the app several times while drinking my coffee, eventually others started turning up.
We had the pleasure of @presa conducting the pre drive briefing and giving some extended reminders of the purpose of the training, while we waited for some of the stragglers to arrive and deflate etc.
Our infamous founder @alshamsi_m took the role of lead, with @presa floating around to keep a watchful eye on the progress. Myself and @Moustafa were positioned within the convoy to assist with any recoveries, with returning intermediate @bobpavan as sweeper.
It was a relatively small convoy with just 7 newbies, but it was an interesting mix of cars – Landrover Discovery, Bronco, Prados, Landruiser and a Hilux. The badayer area is a very popular offroad playground so there are tracks everywhere making for a very bumpy ride due to corrugations – so a real trying time for our kidneys getting bounced and shaken for the duration of the trip.
Visiting Pink Rock, Camel Rock and Crocodile Rock with some interesting climbs to challenge the newbies who all did extremely well with only a few 2nd attempts at the higher climbs, but the work load for the recovery team was very light – no popouts and only one use of the ropes to dislodge a car from a very soft sand area at the base of a climb.
It was 9am in the blink of an eye, the drive was over everyone was smiling as they inflated their tires and headed of to enjoy the rest of the day.
Well done to the Newbie batch of @Audreydxb @King @LuisFlavio @Med @nomi4x4 @tando and @virginiasz

Hello Almosters,
It was great start for Ramadan as we meet at the desert and saw the sunrise and then started our drive.
The drive was as smooth as it can get with no troubles at all. There were few obstacles in the drive which we managed to cover in single go, with only 1-2 2nd attempts.
Looking forward for the 2nd round of the sunrise drive with increased difficulty level.
Thanks to all the crew and marshals team for their support and guidance specially @alshamsi_m @presa and @brett.
