Lovely drive in a crispy cold morning in Sweihan.

So happy to see Agalon back leading a drive (I can't remember when was the last time I was in one of those) and I am sure I am not the only one who was happy in today's convoy.

Small convoy with 5 newbies plus 2 (Italian) intermediates in support, I was floating alongside the supporting Marshall Solmaz.

Of course there were some mistakes but the convoy adapted and performed very well in my opinion, I am sure some of the members felt a notch up in the level but, with the assistance and guidance of both Marshalls during the breaks they improved and took on board the advice that was given to them.

Overall rope only came out once and there was also one tire change on top of this so very good pace, very good flow, loads of fun.

Judging by the smiling faces at the end of the drive I am pretty sure enjoyment level was high.

Now I am sorry I will be out of the country for the intermediate drive that Agalon has posted for this month, based on his mood that I saw today I would recommend intermediates to fight for a seat.

Thank you Agalon for posting this drive, Solmaz for the Marshall's support and everyone else for attending and making it possible.

See you on the sand soon!!!

Arrived first to the meeting point which Is quite common for me as drive day the excitement leads to me barely sleeping.

Was a chilly start with around 12c air temperature, within minutes of starting the drive we soon realised Agalon had turned the level up a notch from our previous 10+ drives. David joked he hadn't driven for a while and got his levels mixed up and it truly felt like we was getting a taste of intermediate level.

After a skid on the crest by one of the convoy Solmaz and Agalon stopped the convoy to give us a briefing to reiterate the principles of this manoeuvre to do it safely.

Convoy flow was great, a few 2nd trys, one puncture and one rope recovery only for the whole convoy.

Feeling really positive about the drive, massive thank you to Agalon, Solmaz for teaching us new skills today and the support crew for helping us nubes out when we get stuck.

Until next time....................

1st of Ramadan 2025, I arrived 10,15 minutes late due to road closure from truck road to Sweihan Road, I managed to connect using dirt road for few kilometers, turned out others were pretty much going through same issue.
Great drive lead by Marshal Agalon, we did some great side crestings and switching from one side of dune to other, my biggest learning of the day was how to switch dunes, thanks @Solmaz for briefing on 1,2 second rule of staying on dune before switching, it really helped me. Thanks all of the team for offering unconditional help in case any issues considering I was fasting, it all went smooth, thanks to the support team and fellow 10+.
