Let me start by saying what an awesome drive today. The pace was great and the weather wasnt so bad either.
I love morning drives so this one I was looking forward to all week.
We started around 7:30ish. It was my 3rd trip so it was apparent that the pace picked up. We cruised through the desert like Gazelles.
There were a few trouble spots but the only one that kept us waiting was a crest. Unfortunately or fourtunately the first few cars had already brought down the crest considerably so the others in the convoy passed it fine.
Since it was the 3rd drive with almost4x4 the familiarity had improved which was helpful as I got a useful advice from JockJKU to prevent popouts.
Thank you to the marshals, support and fellow newbies. Looking forward to more drives soon.

This drive made me so happy, It is also my 3rd drive with the club and every weekend is getting better and better. I was the last (-5 drives) car on the convoy and it was a lot of fun to be all the way back there with the company of Danillo. Every week I learn new skills and the most important for me is that I meet awesome people doing what I love. I cant wait to get back out there.
I was having some troubles with my traction control but i'm getting the kill switch this week. Thank you crew for making us look good.

See you guys next time

Hello Everyone

as the title say Sandy Morning. the weather was good with a little more humidity but this is the part of fun.

i was in Shamsi convoy. we started with small dunes to warm up the newbies then took fast pace from the medium dunes to high dunes in safari style. everyone in the convoy did a good job and they learn to drive in fast pace, safari style and keeping the proper distance in all small, medium and high dunes. in some areas the sand was very soft.

we finished 10mins before time and it was good to hear when shamsi said we have 10 more mins to enjoy. so what an off roader want.

thank you everyone for joining us. it was a nice drive.

see you all again in sand.

It was a perfect summer morning .. we met at 7 am and we were all split in to two convoys .. 5+ with Bu Salem and 5- with Booy. I was the second lead in Booy's convoy and i must say that our marshals are masters in choosing the tracks. Im really enjoying the second lead because it gives me an idea on how the marshals are choosing the track during the drive.
Generally it was a very smooth drive with very few stucks or second tries.

I hope all our newbie drivers enjoyed the drive.

See you in the sand ..

Hey Almosters!

I was sweeping Booy convoy and was impressed by the drivers level at a 5- nothing but a few crested and 2nd tries.

We had a great morning drive, with some technical areas, a few climbs and soft sand areas, passing by the famous pink rock!

The only two cents were to keep momentum and turn off traction control, since it will kill your climbing and sliding!

Good Afternoon All!

The weather was hot and humid so i was glad when we started!!

I was floating in Booy convoy with Mohanad in second lead, Presa sweeping, Agalon floating and Tammam in the convoy.

This was the 5- convoy, but it did not feel like a typical 5- drive. Everyone did very well with only very minor issues! I believe everyone enjoyed the track, the challenge and the views, it was a very enjoyable morning indeed, even if it did live up to its name of being Sandy due to the wind!

Till next time!

Hey ALMOSTers,

This was my 3rd drive, I was in Booy 's convoy with Mohanad as second lead, JockJKU and Agalon as floaters and presa as sweeper. Dunes were varying from medium to bigger ones, it was a good exercise to feel my car .... how much speed and momentum to carry on depending on the dune. My concern was mostly about my pumper at first few dunes then focused on learning how to evaluate dune exit speed depending on end slop angle. It was fast pace and very different from previous drives so far .... after a series of small-meduim dunes Booy took a short break to remind us all to clear and when to do it. After that we reached a big sharp dune grin , I took my time to study how cars in front of me getting through. I noticed there is a small bump towards the top of the dune which caused too fast cars to jump over the crest or get stuck. Knowing that, my plan was to carry on momentum till just before the bump then release and let momentum do its magic .... however it didn't work as expected brigade.baka-wolf.com and I got crested XD , then Booy instructed to engage 4Lo, Diff Lock and try to unstuck myself which was superb new experience, then after the 2nd or 3rd try (I don't really remember TT TT ) I cleared it thumbsup .

Take out of the day for me was
1) Momentum momentum momentum

Thanks to all organisers, marshals and other members who made that possible

Till next time
cheers

Hey Almosters,

The morning was very humid, but that didnt stop us from enjoying the early chitchat.
I was in the 5+ convoy lead by alshamsi_m with Solmaz floating, Raja sweeping and nabil_k supporting.

The convoy moved at a good pace. We were driving mostly safari style which many of the members seemed to very much enjoy. I recall hearing on the radio "this is the best drive I've had so far" ORLY. We also climbed to the highest points and enjoyed the view playingsmiley .

Overall the convoy did well, we had a few second tries, but no pop-outs or crested cars.

Thanks to everyone to organized, supported, and joined.
See you in the sand.

Hello Everyone

Thanks Booy for organizing the drive and giving me the chance to lead one. We had a great day out in the sand , although it was a bit humid but the wind helped us to enjoy the drive. We finished Just on time before it really gets HOT which was appreciated by all the member.

Over all, I'm happy to with performance of all of you and I really enjoyed my day.
